See below the list of Sellbery terms that will be used in the Guide and in further communication with the Sellbery Support team.

Account Management — the service of maintaining customers' accounts on marketplaces. See the list of available services

Channel Setup Service — a paid service of the product import/export process configuration and mapping rules creation performed by the Sellbery Support team / Account manager.

The service includes the creation of the Mapping rules and uploading several test products to the Export Point.

The service does not include any product data update on the Import Point side, assigning all product categories (if the necessary number of Export Point categories is greater than 3), exporting all products, or correction of the product data on the Export Point after the upload.

Component — a sales channel connected to Sellbery by API and used for importing or exporting the product data. Two components linked to each other are called a "connection" on Sellbery.

Connection — a) the process of connecting an external channel to Sellbery by API; b) a pair of components linked to each other on Sellbery.

Credentials — a set of API/oAuth login details used for connecting a sales channel to Sellbery.

Dataset — a visual presentation of a database table containing the listings processed by Sellbery (i.e. uploaded from Sellbery to a sales channel).

Enterprise — a service package (plan) with individual terms of service for customers whose number of SKUs for the export via Sellbery is over 15000.

Export Point — a sales channel to which your products are uploaded from Sellbery.

Full Connect — the process of connecting a sales channel to Sellbery with the help of a full set of API credentials (API key, API secret, Auth token, etc.) For some channels, may require manual creation of a custom/private application to allow Sellbery access to the product data.

Global Rule — a global mapping rule that includes a set of required rules based on the selected Export Point channel location and/or category.

Import Point — a sales channel from which your products are downloaded to Sellbery.

Mapping — the process of matching the product fields of an Import Point with the corresponding fields of an Export Point on Sellbery. Mapping is the most important part of the configuration process because the format of the product attributes on the Import Point can be very different from the format of the same attributes on the Export Point, so the fields must be mapped correctly for the product data to be uploaded to the Export Point properly.

Mapping Rules — a set of the Import Point fields mapped to the corresponding Export Point fields, including the rules created with the help of 'Add custom value' or 'Add composite value' options at the Mapping section on Sellbery.

OAuth — a connection and authorization process through a third-party service (Google, Facebook, etc.).

Order Check — the process of sending information about shipments and refunds from Sellbery to your Export Points to finalize the order.

Order Synchronization — the process of importing orders from an Export Point channel back to the Import Point by a scheduled time interval.

The orders can only be synced if an Import Point channel allows the import of orders from other sources. Marketplaces do not allow that, so the Order Sync feature cannot be used if your Import Point is a marketplace.

The Order Sync does not work as a separate feature! The orders can only be synced for the listings that have been created/updated on the Export Point channel via Sellbery, i.e. the products that have been processed by the Sellbery app and are stored in its database!

Plan — a subscription service package with specific conditions provided for free or for a monthly/yearly fee. The main differences between the plans are the number of products allowed for upload via Sellbery and the terms of technical support.

Product category — a group of products combined within a sales channel by their intended use, design, manufacturer, or any other parameter defined by the seller. For example, “Clothes”, “Household appliances”, “Books”. Categories may have subcategories, for example: “Clothes” —> “T-shirts” —> “T-shirts for Men”.

Product Download — the process of downloading the products from your store to the Sellbery App in order to subsequently upload them to another platform or marketplace.

Product Upload — the process of transferring the previously downloaded products from Sellbery to a connected platform or marketplace.

Product Synchronization — the process of automatic update of the product data between Import and Export Points done by the Sellbery app according to the strategy and time schedule selected by the user.

Product without variations — an independent simple product that has a certain set of attributes and a unique SKU. For example, a unique handmade item or a picture of an artist.

Product with variations — a configurable (grouped) product that allows selection of product options by specific attributes (color, size, material, etc.). The variations within a configurable product usually have partially similar attributes and SKU. For example, sports shoes of a certain model and color that come in various sizes, or men’s polo shirts in various colors and sizes. Each color/size variation of a product has its own SKU.

Reports — information about the efficiency of product upload and synchronization. Reports contain the data about all errors that occurred during the upload and synchronization process.

Setup — complete configuration of the import/export process for the selected Import and Export Points, product downloads, order synchronization, deliveries, and returns.

SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) —  a unique product identifier used in most eCommerce systems, marketplaces, and in Sellbery. It may contain both numbers and letters, but some channels may require a specific SKU format. Each product and product variation must have a unique SKU.

Sellbery counts each product variation as a separate product SKU. The SKU count on Sellbery is updated based on the number of simple product items uploaded (exported) via Sellbery. Each Sellbery plan has a specific limit of uploaded SKUs. When this limit is reached, there is no way to reinstate the original number of available SKU other than the Sellbery plan upgrade.
